  1. Seek Support: Seek support from trusted colleagues, mentors, or professional organisations. It is important to have someone to talk to and to get guidance on how to handle the situation.
  2. Document Incidents: Keep a record of incidents of discrimination, including the date, time, location, and details of what was said or done. This can be helpful if you decide to report the incident.
  3. Report Incidents: Report incidents of discrimination to your supervisor, human resources department, or an appropriate regulatory body. Follow the appropriate protocol for reporting incidents and document all communications.
  4. Educate Yourself: Educate yourself about your rights and protections under the law. Understand what constitutes discrimination and what your options are for addressing it.
  5. Practice Self-Care: Discrimination can be a stressful and emotionally draining experience. Practice self-care regularly to manage stress and maintain your well-being. This may include exercise, meditation, spending time with loved ones, or seeking professional support.

Remember, discrimination is not acceptable in any workplace. By seeking support, documenting incidents, reporting incidents, educating yourself, and practicing self-care, you can manage discrimination at work and protect your well-being as a foundation doctor.
